My name is Craig Lewis and I reside in the cozy fishing village, Fleur de Lys, in Rural Newfoundland and Labrador. From my passion and love of nature, I was inspired to develop a company called Sap World Co. Ltd.

Since the product initially comes from natural birch trees, it seemed only logical to produce a pure and natural product. Sap World Co. Ltd is a new and exciting company that gives us the ability to create a product that is of high quality and high standards in today's beverage industry.

Sap World was started in 2005. The idea came from an article written about a local man who tapped and collected birch sap from birch trees. It was then that I decided to give it a try. I gathered necessary hardware, such as plastic water tees, plastic tubing, a 2 litre bottle, some line and a nail. I approached a paper birch tree, outside town and drilled a hole.

The next day, I drove to the site where I tapped the tree. From the road, it appeared that the bottle was empty. I walked toward the bottle to get a closer look, to find the ground under the bottle was wet. Sure enough, the bottle was over flowing with pure birch sap. This marked the beginning of my adventures into birch sap, its uses, and its limitless products. I never expected to tap into such a wonderful world of flavor.
